ELMA-Tech launches strategy change in the product segment of robotic welding guns
Morsbach, June 2019. ELMA-Tech is changing its strategic orientation in the area of its robot welding gun product segment in the middle of 2019. With immediate effect ELMA-Tech GmbH releases its well-known welding process control Virtual Machine (VM3) in cooperation also for other robot welding gun manufacturers.
Production line planners and integrators from the automotive sector as well as industry will thus have the opportunity to equip their production plants in the field of robot welding guns with the well-known effective process control from ELMA-Tech.
A logical and direct consequence of this strategic reorientation is the discontinuation of the further development of ELMA-Tech robot welding guns.
"It does not make sense for a company of the size of ELMA-Techs to invest considerable development effort in the technology of its own robot welding guns, if integrators of the supplier and automotive industry have been signalling to us for some time the desire for an optimum combination variety of robot guns and controls", says ELMA-Tech Managing Director Christian Tschoeltsch, who has already entered into appropriate exploratory talks with manufacturers of robot welding guns.
"With this decision we are slimming down our portfolio in this segment, adapting ourselves sustainably to the desired production plans of the market and thereby optimizing the market opportunities in the long term and thus also the added value of our process control technology, which, as is well known, represents a central element of our welding and coating technology in combination with our various high-performance power sources".
All ELMA-Tech customers will of course continue to receive comprehensive service from ELMA-Tech.
